Our "Welcome to the Neighbourhood kit"  is ready to be picked up from

the Community Centre, your local library or GP's surgery. It contains a wealth

of information for residents of the area of Gymea, Gymea Bay, Grays Point

and Kirrawee. Come in and get your copy now!

Il Servizio Comunitario di Assistenza e Informazioni di Gymea S.p.A. (GCAIS) è un’organizzazione di beneficenza senza fini di lucro, non religiosa e non politica (le donazioni che le vengono fatte sono detraibili dalle tasse) sostenuta da lavoratori volontari. Offriamo tutta una serie di servizi alla comunità volti a ridurre l’isolamento sociale e a celebrare la diversità nel Sutherland Shire.

Siamo un Centro Sociale di quartiere che siete tutti invitati a visitare sia per fare quattro chiacchiere che per chiedere informazioni. Offriamo assistenza e servizi a coloro che risiedono nel quartiere, agli anziani con problemi di salute e alle persone inabili e coloro che se ne prendono cura, ai nuovi immigrati e rifugiati e alle persone che vivono nel Sutherland Shire di origini sia culturali che linguistiche diverse.

I servizi che offriamo comprendono:

  • Servizi di Sviluppo Comunitario
  • Servizi di Assistenza Sociale
  • Programmi di Finziamento per l’Insediamento nel Sutherland Shire
Servizi di Assistenza Giornaliera agli Anziani che risiedono nel Sutherland Shire
Servizio Multiculturale di Assistenza Diurna agli Anziani del Sutherland Shire
Al momento offriamo lezioni gratuite di inglese per i nuovi immigrati che intendono migliorare le loro abilità di lettura, scrittura, ascolto e verbali.

Gruppo Multiculturale
Primo e terzo martedì del mese – sono invitati a partecipare i residenti anziani provenienti da tutti i gruppi linguistici.

Italiano
Secondo e quarto martedì del mese.

Funzionari bilingue sono addestrati a dirigere i gruppi. Abbiamo anche assistenti volontari che parlano correntemente le lingue comunitarie che assisteranno i funzionari nel loro lavoro con il gruppo.
